The Office of the Registrar will be closed for remodeling during spring break week, March 17-21. The office space has to be vacated while recarpeting takes place. In-person services on an emergency basis will be maintained to the extent possible. Telephone and e-mail messages may not be returned until everyone is back at their work station.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 27, when Stan Shellabarger and Dutes Miller will perform radical needlework from 4-5 p.m. in the Ulrich Museum galleries. Known for their endurance performance art, Stan and Dutes will crochet "Untitled (Pink Tube)." Following the performance, the work will be on view at the Ulrich Museum through April 13 in "The Suburban" (a show within a show), as part of the one-person survey exhibition of Chicago-based artist Michelle Grabner. The WSU performance, a first for Stan and Dutes, is free and open to the public.

The department of communication sciences and disorders will celebrate its Fourth Annual Outstanding Alumni Event from 3:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Marcus Welcome Center. This year's event will honor Patrick J. Carney, professor emeritus, department of audiology and speech pathology at the University of Tennessee. His presentation is titled "Professional issues in communication sciences and disorders: Looking back -- looking forward."
